What defines a Paradox?

I have a Pastel 100% Het Pied that has some weird sections that are noticeably different from other parts of her. It looks like she has shed patches of her skin (but that isn't the case).

From what I understand, Paradox(ing) is just a random happening that seems to occur more often in Piebald or Albino morphs. Is that correct? Are there other morphs that have a better chance of having this happen?

So what defines a Paradox? Is there a certain colour or amount of something that makes you say "That there is a Paradox!"?

I believe the current working theory is that paradox are chimeras, which means two twins merged into one organism, but are still genetically different. If the twins happen to be two different morphs, it can be very visible sometimes as I am sure you have seen in the past.

Yes I have, but I never really thought about it just being more visible with certain morphs. Of course it is . I suppose in more "normal" morphs it wouldn't really stir up too much attention. It might just look like a snake with cool markings (or a really ugly snake ).

Is that the case though? Does any morph have a similar odds to be a Paradox, but only really contrasting morphs make it obvious?

Is it normal for Pastels to look like the one above? It's probably not showing like it does in person, but she looks so different from the other Pastels I have. Is it something you see in Pastel Het Pieds? Her sister has a couple of contrasting spots, but nothing like her.
