Red light at night- good or bad

My house is at about 65 degrees at night and i use a red light to keep the temps in his viv to 77-80 it works well but it does make it tough to keep humidity up, so i use a reptifog fogger on a timer and that gets it up to about 50% when he is in shed i add a humid hide with some moss to get it to 70%. I am also a night person as i suffer from insomnia due to bad arthritus and refuse to take pain meds, besides my husband is a loud snorer and who can sleep through an earthquake. So my BP is my nighttime buddy.

I feel for you blue roses. I have RA and Lupus. My snakes keep those long painful nights more fun!

Never used a ceramic CHE, I'm assuming that you need the basket type fixtures correct? and something to hang them on as they can't sit on the screen top.

Well I believe that is what has made mine last as long as it has. However the box of the che say the fixture should have the holes at the base of the fixture dome to release the heat and keep it from building up and frying the che with its own heat. Being the wire fixture is so cheap I would use it so you get the best results from the che and it last a long time for you.
