I have a Carpet and a Burmese. I like them both a lot, but Burms are by far my favorite. The Carpet will use the levels of "branches" I have in the enclosure, but spends a lot of time in his hides on the ground too. I agree, more floor space is better, but if that's the enclosure you are looking to use, a Carpet would enjoy it if you set it up right.

Thanks guys but I'm still pretty undecided on what I'm going to get yet although a carpet python would be a lot easier to get because burms are a banned species illegal to transport across state lines. By the way I would not use this tank for a Burmese. I have a 40 gallon breeder size to start it in.

You have a nice setup but most snakes don't need height but rather more ground space.
