As for misting. Im guessing you are using a glass tank. If so, you are gonna need to shed especially during a shed. What I do to make sure that the water in my misting bottle is not cold(more of an issue in the winter when the taps are cold) is make sure to keep water in the bottle and keep the bottle in the warmed snake room so the water is a good temp for misting. I never mist in the winter with water straight from the tap. I always let it warm to room temp.

As for the soak. This also needs to be within temp range. I use my IR temp gun to make sure the water is good. Remember that what feels warm to you will probable be hot to the snake.

To help the humidity in the cage cypress mulch or coco husk is a great option. I also put moss in my hides. During a shed I keep it moist until the shed is complete. During regular non shed times I let the moss dry out before making damp again. This has given me great sheds in a glass tank with my ball.

Also you need to cover a good portion of the screen to help trap the heat and humidity.
