    Having trouble finding a vet...

    Move at will....

I live in the Los Angeles Area. (South of Glendale). But I'm having trouble finding a vet for my BPs in the area. I can't go that far since I don't own a car. Anyone have recommendations?

I kinda need it in a hurry since one of my BPs, I think, developed worms. He's a vicious and solid eater, but he didn't eat last time, though the others BPs ate. I saw these brown wormy things in his water. Not sure if it's from the rats, but I want to be safe.

Also, is there anything I can do for him in the meantime?

    Yeah, I'd be alarmed to.

Hope you saved a water sample with some worms for the vet.

    Good Luck!

Re: Having trouble finding a vet...

Try All Animals Vet Hospital. They're in Calabasas. Here's their number: 818.600.1838

I haven't gone there personally, but my local reptile store highly recommended them to me if something ever to happen. Call them and see how comfortable you feel their knowledge is with BPs.

I trust the owner of thr reptile store since I've bought 3 healthy snakes from him and been going there for a number of years.

    Edit:
Just saw the no car thing. Try to get a ride from someone. I doubt you'll find a vet walking distance. Also not sure if it would be a good idea taking a BP on public transportation.

Put critter in a snake bag, snake bag goes into a locking tub, locking tub goes into a large gift bag. Just don't let anyone steal it...

That made me chuckle... I could only imagine the surprise/horror on the thief's face after discovering the snake. Haha.

Calabasas is kinda far to drive though... I saw something for Santa Monica VCA on Yelp, but not sure about VCA. Anyone care to share? If there aren't any vets by name that can do it, it might be a while before I can beg a ride for that kind of distance and that's not good for him. The sooner, the better, I figure.

Luckily the Ball Python just went into shed yesterday so that might be the reason he didn't eat (But he usually eats at the beginning of his shed too... 'cause he's that greedy.), but I still want to make sure that the worms aren't in his system. Really hoping that he's OK. I hand reared him from an egg... so I really don't want to lose him.

I just got F10sc recently to eliminate germs in the cages safely. I guess I didn't get it soon enough.

But yeah, really need a vet, so anything closer to East LA would be better...
