    Yes, Super Mystic and Mystic Potion are different. The Mystic and Mojave genes occur at the same point on the DNA strand. They are called alleles, and are part of a much larger group of genes known as the Blue Eyed Leucustic complex. This means that when you breed a Super Mystic, every baby will get the Mystic gene, while when you breed a Mystic Potion, every baby will get the Mystic gene or the Mojave gene.

    As for the amount of color/pattern on a Mystic Potion or a Super Mystic, that seems to be random. In the picture below, all 4 Mystic Potions are from 2014 clutch 10, while all 3 Super Mystics are from 2014 clutch14. You can see the variability despite all of the Mystic Potions sharing the same two parents and all of the Super Mystics sharing the same two parents.
