    They'll either try to bolt away from you or stay pretty tightly coiled if they're unhappy. Also going off feed for extended periods and general lethargy can be indicators of unhappiness or sickness. While it's pretty difficult to tell a snakes emotions, we usually take the opposite of these behaviors as a sign the snake is doing well, or is "happy". Exploration and overall curiosity are the most common happy, healthy snake behaviors to look for.
