I just finally gave up with the humidity in my Exo terra. I bought some sphagnum moss, dampened it and put it in her hot hide. She is in blue and hasn't left it! I also cut a piece of plywood with holes cut for lamps. Then changed her substrate to Reptibark! Viola! Maintaining 60% humidity in rest of tank and 75% in hide! Love that moss! No more spraying. I also have put it into my babies hides in their tubs to give them a tighter fit. I haven't had yo dampen it yet because the tubs keep humidity at 60-70% with paper towels. This forum is so wonderful. I never would have figured this stuff out without all the knowledgable people on here willing to help noobs.
