My little baby female just shed for the first time last week and also ate no problem. Even more awesome, it was the first time I tried feeding her f/t since she had previously been on live. She went right for it. I'd say try it, and if she doesn't take it, then you'll know that she probably won't be one to eat during her shed (but who knows, maybe she would eat during a future shed).
