It's fairly common for shedding to slightly re-open healing wounds and for them to shed more often than normal as part of the healing process.
Getting the humidity right for a couple of days will probably have more of a beneficial effect at this stage than a negative one. Just make sure to clean the enclosure after the shed and keep everything as clean as possible to minimise infection.
