What is hanging out of cloaca?

Its almost like yellow spikes. I may be a blonde to the snake world, but could someone tell me what it is or of I need to worry?

Those are "spurs" they are whats left of the legs they use to have. They use them in breeding perfectly normal.

Great that doesn't mean she's not a 'she', right? Because the other female we have has them as well and the breeder said they sexed them as soon as they hatched

Hehe, yeah, they are totally normal. All pythons have them!

Has anyone else noticed that when the snake is say, wrapped around a neck or a wrist, the spurs are little pinpricks? lol I don't know if Nags just has particularly sharp ones, or if I just have sensitive skin. But everytime I have her around my neck, I can always feel the spurs scratching me.

Nope o feel it too. Its also their scales if they decide to go in reverse
