Need source for dependable heat lamp bulbs

We are using a deep domed light fixture with a 75 watt infrared spot bulb controlled by a HerpaStat2 to provide ambient heating for our 1 year old bp. This setup keeps her cool side a constant 80 degrees.

The bulb we have been using for the last 8 months finally gave out. We replaced it with another from our local pet store, but that one only lasted 2 days.
Is there a recommended brand out there that lasts longer than even 8 months?

Is there another way to provide ambient heat? I've read a bit about ceramic heat emitters, but not sure that would work. Could one of these be a possibility?

As a side note, we started using the Herpastat2 3 months ago, and have noticed she is much more active at night, and once in a while during the day she can be seen exploring around her tank. Prior to that we had a dimmer connected to the fixture that we adjusted to maintain a range between 78 and 84. Would the new activity be due to the now constant temp being maintained by the Herpastat2?

I have Ceramic Heat Emitters controlled by a thermostat, to keep up the ambient temp in 2 enclosures.
They work great (other than killing the humidity). One of them has been going for more than 3 years now.
Reptile basics is the least expensive place to order them.
