You know, I like your analogy.
Problem is with so many cake recipes all over the internet, heck even on Pintrest alone, people tend to just re-pin and re-pin and share the recipe, without ever actually baking the cake to make sure the recipe works.
Honestly, I guess the best we can do is to make sure our proven and tested recipe gets posted whenever we can, and make sure people know that it actually has been baked in kitchens all over the world, and it does work.
