provent a mite, substrate, feeding

From what I understand, you spray the pam into the tub and it dries on everything (except water bowl and snake removed). Then it will kill the mites and newly hatched ones for 30 days.

Now, to check for mites, I use paper towels instead, white, easier to see black specs...
So, as vs. someone that uses aspen that is just spot cleaned, that means the 30 day effect is wasted when I change the paper towel? I got to pre treat any paper towel I put in there with pam every time the snake pees, for a month?

Also, I always feed in tubs they live in. So if the pam already dried, I can just let the snake eat on the treated substrate, paper towel etc?

I will admit I don't know because I wont use PAM.
Personally I wouldn't but then again, even if you removed the bedding the PAM should still be on the walls of the tub so just removing the bedding wouldn't matter.

I use PAM. I never asked because I feed in a separate tub, but I did call Pro Products to see if it was okay to mist substrate, and they said that PAM bonds to your bedding after 4 hours. You can wash your enclosure with soap and water and there will still be PAM left on it. That's why it's so effective as far as killing long term. If you go to the Pro Products website, there's a phone number you can call. The owner usually answers and he was really great about answering my question.

I feed in my enclosures that have been treated with Provent-a-Mite.
Never had any issues.

Hmm. The can says to feed insectivores or amphibians in separate cages (PAM will continue to kill insects and spiders for up to a month), but not reptiles. It does say to "avoid contamination of feed and foodstuffs" though.

I used Mite Off since it was non-toxic. It worked, and you can apply it to the snake as well as tank, hide, etc.. It apparently won't hurt the water either, but I left that bowl out when misting. My snake was on aspen at the time. I moved him to a new container with paper towels, and poured scalding hot water and bleach into his old one so whatever was in there would be killed. It also cost quite a bit less than P.A.M.
