Don't place the same thread in different forum sections. Its gets confusing for those trying to help and you end up wasting your time and others answering the same questions in each thread to two groups trying to help you.

By pressing the "Home" button you see all the current threads. This is what most use to see what is active and where those helping other will find those threads needing help now.

As for your issue you could add another lamp to the cold side. I keep my home at 68F and have a 40 gallon glass tank in my living room because I like how it looks. Because its so cold I need a 100 watt che on the warm side and a 60 watt heat lamp on the cool side with a uth on the warm side as well. If I were you I would set up heat lamp, ideally on a tstat. This way you could set to to turn on the extra heat lamp when the temp drops to low so you would not have to monitor it so close.

Your uth should be on the bottom and if NEEDS to be hooked to a tstat. Snakes can feel heat. The issue is they do not react to it as we do and will stay on the heat to long before they realize something is wrong. Also a uth does nothing for your air temps so right now your uth is not giving you any contribution of heat for your snake.

You can also insulate the sides of the tank with cardboard, art paper, foam, etc to trap more heat inside.
