Lost BP
So I lost my female pastel BP. I think it happens on Wednesday or Thursday because I feed her on Monday and checked on her on Tuesday. For almost 3 hours straight I was searching for her all upstairs yesterday. My parents and sister helped too. I wouldn't be very worried normally but it's cold in my house. I tried raising the temperature upstairs because I don't want her getting sick while lost. But downstairs is still cold like 60F. I'm hoping she doesn't go downstairs but I'm not sure where she is not. What I'm planning to do tonight is take one of her f/t mice and put it in my room on the floor. If that doesn't work I don't know what to do. I have a carpet floor so the flour/rice trick probably isn't going to work.

Oh so sorry! I feel your anxiety.
You've probably checked the couches and padded chairs, but did you get your hands DEEP into those crevices and inter-workings?
Think "warm" and knowing how that they are expert escape artists, they are the reverse as well. That being, they can get into small areas, gaps, crevices that you would not believe.
Look close by air vents. And look up. They do climb quite well!
One last thing off the top of my head, if you have a dog or cat, let them inside and watch them closely. They may find her for you. If you don't have a dog, have a friend come over with an animal friendly one for a while.
Best of luck, please keep us apprised!

Sorry to hear about the escape.
Think warm, dark and tight places. That is most likley what she is looking for and/or where she will be.
Good luck with finding her and keep us posted.

Forgot about the closet.
If you are a neat freak with nothing in the floor to hide under or in; check sleeves and inside of garments, especially coats.
you did not mention the age or size of your snake?

If it is cold, overnight put out a nice heat lamp in the middle of a room, and put a hide there. a nice warm spot. Maybe even put a mouse out. The warmth could attract the snake over, and if its hungry you'll have an even better chance.

If you have a lot of coins you could try using them similar to the flour/powder idea, making a line of them along the floor and carpet.
Use a flashlight, even if you're searching during the day. They are amazing at finding the darkest little corner or area to curl up in. And the avoid open areas so check all along the walls, behind book case, dresser, etc.
Agree with Reinz that you need to look up. Like if you have a bookshelf and the books are forward so there is space behind them, it could be back there, 2nd or 3rd shelf up from the ground.
My snake got from living room into bedroom through a space where the radiator pipe went through the wall. But first I found some poop behind laundry basket, which is the only reason I knew it was in that room. Then after tearing apart the room trying to find it, it turned out to be halfway up a hockey stick I had leaning up behind an open closet door.
A patriotic Canadian snake, eh.

Re: Lost BP
95% of the time when I've had escapes they were within 5ft of the enclosure. And honestly most of those they were right under their rack or in the shelving behind a tub. Sometimes something low to the ground right next to it to.
