BP destroyed tank while I was gone.

Are there any health risks or concerns I should have about my ball python sitting in a wet tank over night? I stayed at a friends last night and came home to find my ball python cruising around with a tank with a flipped over water dish and hides upside down. The whole bottom was soaked since I use paper towels. About two-three weeks before that he did the same thing but didn't flip the water dish.

Is there anything I should be conerned about and look out for? Also he hasn't eaten in about a month and a half or two months but is active but all my temps and humidity are good.

    Cold 78-83
    Hot 83-86
UTH Thermostat set to 90 and gets tank only up to about 92 and thats below two laters of paper towel.

I have a gas furnace for heating so it gets cold and then extremely hot so thats why my temps change so much.

It will be fine. Its the same as it living through a rain shower.

It does sound like you need a different water bowl and place it differently in the tank.

someone correct me if im wrong but if u have the UTH as ur hot spot you should be able to maintain the enclosure temp at 80.. i know when i had the dual heating zones with my male the hot side was just getting to warm with the designated hot and cold area..

You can but to each their own. My tank has a uth and still has a warmer side and a cooler side. Its just what works best for my tank in the room it is in. My cages in my snake room have uniform ambient temps.

Yea that's what I thought, I just know after I got my thermostat and just started keeping my temp at 79-84 in the tank all the time, he hasn't been ripping the tank up and trying to flip things and moving the bedding around.

I have some snakes that will root everything up all the time and others that never do. My BRB and GTP are my biggest rooters and destroyers. My Hoggy digs tunnels but so far does not root things up. My ball will usually leave everything alone but every once and awhile she will root around for no apparent reason. Snakes are weird.
