I think the owners' kids run the store. Yeah, they're pretty uneducated for the most part. The only one I know who gave me good information and knew what he was doing was the oldest one, but I was definitely put off by all of his friends that were hanging around just following everyone around the store. It was hard to tell who worked there and who didn't. And I saw a guy come in and say that his friend was on vacation and was taking too long to claim his rabbit, so he surrendered it to Jurassic Pets and I was just... irked by that. They had a really good selection of pets & supplies, and when I was there it looked like they were taking care of their pets (though I heard recently that they had a bunch of rainbow boas in a tank with no hide).A lot of people tell me that Jurassic Pets is the best but i think they are over-rated. There employees are all too young to even be in high school and when I asked for a mouse hopper, they gave me a rat adult.
Have you tried Feeder Frenzy? I've heard good things about them too. Also, if you join the Colorado Reptile and Feeders page, other people have pretty good recommendations.
I've heard many good things about Scales N Tails in Denver, but the location in Colorado Springs is... icky, to say the least.
Oh, and, my husband and I will be at the reptile show.![]()
