Re: My First Ball Python - Akeda

Since I have posted this thread, I managed to get another BP. It's a female Albino. She's tiny (85 grams) and was hatched October 5th.

Yeah. I totally get it now. I got my first guy, and all I could do was think about what female I'll have him mate with a few years down the road. Ultimately I'm going to get a pied so that I can produce more pieds, but my girlfriend loves albinos, so I got her Cleo as a christmas present. But I obsess over my snakes. I probably spend like 2 hours per day checking their tank conditions and making sure everything is perfect. I'm super anal, but now that I have my methods to give my snakes prime conditions, they don't refuse food. Akeda had a problem where he refused food for a solid 2 weeks, and I realized he was too cold and probably hadn't fully digested the first mouse I gave him. I adjusted the heat and 5 days later, he downed a mouse in less than 5 minutes.

my next journey will be attempting to convert the Albino (Cleo) to eating F/T. She ate last 1 week ago, so I'm thinking that if I wait until thursday, I'll try to give her a F/T and see what happens.
