Some BPs go off eating this time of year. As long as the weight is where it needs to be for both animals, which in your case seems to be and I would be surprised if a 3.5yr old male was not at least 600, then there shouldn't be any problems with trying to mate them.
If they are not eating because they are stressed then they will also not lock but I wouldn't assume they are stressed at this point. Like I said just the time of year.
Most people go for four locks to be relatively certain of a successful breeding attempt. One lock a week for four weeks. I might suggest you house the male at your place for comfort of the animal and your convenience.
Keep in mind that as long as the animals weight is correct and temps are set correctly you have done what you can. If the animal's body is not up to it for whatever reason then she will not become gravid, don't worry, she won't endager herself trying to lay eggs.
