Retained eye caps easy to spot? Signs?

Hi, my bp shed last nite, I've looked at the shed and can't see the eye caps in the shed? I've handled her today and I think her eyes look ok, certainly not cloudy anyway!
Her shed was in two pieces, one long piece and a small one around and inch long, the small one seemed to have a hole in middle? Missing eye cap not sure?
My question is would I know straight away after her shed if eye caps remain?
    Many thanks

I'm not too sure, but there's a snake where I work that I am positive has retained eye caps. Her eyes look very much like metal. Pictures?(:

Yeah maybe I should have took pic earlier but I'm fairly sure they look normal , it's the hole in the shed that got me thinking? Worrying

From my knowledge, if they look like they do any other day, you're probably good.
