Beginner males (650g- 800g) will see 2 females straight.

Rookies that maintain 500g- 650g will see 1-2 females straight depending on eating habits.

I give them all a few days rest and offer a meal before deciding to pair again. It has been working for me so far.

Been a while since I updated this but just a couple of things happening for me this month. Its looking like I will only be pairing 3 girls this season but these two are exciting for me.
    Enchi X Pied (1900g) 2nd lock.

Enchi X Calico (2200g). Couldn't tell if this was a solid lock at first but noticed later he had her locked down! 2nd lock first photo opp...

    Thanks for looking.

Thanks! I also have an enchi female who I hope to put this enchi boy to come January. Nothing crazy but still some really cool projects to add for the future.

No you DEFINITELY want to keep a pair, if not a 1.2, I have a champ enchi x pied pairing this season that I am very hopeful for. Locks are looking good though.

As for the breeding part this is how I do it, works for me so..... Males see up to 8 females a year (doesn't happen often I try to limit to 6, but depending on planned projects.....)

I feed Wednesdays, clean and pair to female 1 Friday, pair to female 2 Sunday, separate Tuesday, feed Wednesday and so on

It has been some time since I last updated this. No new photos of pairings to post for now. I decided to put my spinnerblast to my Mojave for the remainder of the season and haven't seen a lock yet. I have felt follicles in all 3 females with the calico and the Mojave having the largest and around 6 or 7 each maybe more I am still learning to palpate so we will see how close I come. Calico is now refusing food and spending all her time on the cool end so that's good.

In other news I have been working on a project with Brian Breikss from Breaking Balls.

This is my 2012 toffino spider male that Brian has had for the past 4 months or so. He has been somewhat of a pain in the butt. It took him a couple months to get eating and was only eating mice for a while. Last week the guy took a live weaned rat and this is him downing a f/t small! No locks from this guy yet either. Brian is a very capable breeder so I am confident that he will get going soon. We plan to pair him to all 3 of Brian's Albinos so fingers crossed we get a couple of clutches. Hell I would just be happy with a lock. He is a little over 700g in this pic and now that he is on rats should be gaining some size again. Thanks for reading I hope I didn't bore you guys to death!

At this point I just need to see one lock! But a clutch or two would be really special! If it works out I will be holding back 2 toffino females. It has been a bit frustrating with this guy but we have had some small victories and hope to keep progressing each week! Just keeping a positive mental attitude!

So this season was a bit of a bust. Of the girls I was pairing all but 1 absorbed and the toffino spider didn't lock at all. He has since put on a few hundred grams and will be staying with Brian for another season. We are both pretty optimistic about him this season. Brian will be putting him to 2 big albinos so let's hope this is his year. Yesterday I woke to 5 good ones from my 2012 Cinnamon who was paired to my butter male. So happy to have some eggs and cant wait to see some babies!

Thanks for looking! Keep an eye out for my 2014/15 Breeding thread. Let's hope I have better luck!

Pop penes after pairing if you don't see a lock. If the male locked one pene will be larger and more reddish/purple with no sperm plug. The pene he did not use will still have a sperm plug when you pop him
