Check for them? Looking over the snake won't be the easiest way an would generally not be seen on them unless you have a really bad infestation.
Best is to check the water bowel. It can be very hard to see if you haven't done it before or know exactly what to look for. They could be easily missed if this is your first time having a possible mite issue.
What substrate are you using? If it's not paper towel you should change it to that because getting substrate in the water will just make it harder to find mites. Also a white water dish would be best to make it easier to see the black mites if there are any.
There are other possible reason a snake can soak but if all you husbandry is 100% like you said and the fact you make it sound like this wasn't normal behaviour and now it is sounding excessive I would lean towards it is likely a mite issue. Just keep checking for a few weeks.
