Whenever you feel like your ready to take on another snake and you have the space/supplies you should definitely go for it

If you are ready for another snake. Go for it. Like she said the main thing is do not house them in the same enclosure. It will most likley be an addiction. I started with 1 and went to 11 in one year. Butters/Lessers are definatly beautiful snakes.

    It's never enough

BUT it's all about what you can handle. I'm at 14 snakes and that's my limit for a while...it can get overwhelming.

Ok so here's another question (or two) for you all, since you have SO many lol.... Do you handle them all equally?? Is handling them regularly a total must?

I ask because we handle Kaa pretty regularly. We leave him alone for a couple of days after eating then handle him a couple of times a day in between feedings.

Not at all. They're not animals that need, or even desire, social interaction with us. They'll tolerate being handled, but if it were up to them they'd rather be tucked away in their nice warm hides waiting for another rat to drop from the sky.

It's normal to want to snuggle your newly acquired ball python. I know I did, but I rarely handle mine now. I love the just the same, and I take a few out much more than any of the others, but that's for my own selfish reasons. I have a few that would have my head if I tried to snuggle them my male yellowbelly is a jerk!
