I'm not sure who the "everyone" is in this thread that you're talking about, but the OP has already said they bought both a quality temp gun (TG-412L) and a proportional thermoSTAT (VE-200D) from Reptile Basics. There's no need to stand on the meter vs stat soapbox here. I'm sure the OP is well aware of their individual functions.
