breathing question
My girl is pretty big. She is active, eats great, husbandry is tip-top, but I will some times hear a very quiet hiss or a sigh. There are absolutely no other signs of any ailment and have seen on the internet some snakes are just "talkers"
Is this probably the case for my boa?

Nothing to fear. They breath air like we do and that huff/puff you hear is air exchange and nothing more. Carpet pythons are notorious for this, and my boa does it as well.
There is a Youtube video of a huge retic out for a cruise and you'd think there was an air compressor releasing pumped air in the background.
If she is big like you say, it will be a lot more audible than with a smaller snake.
Pretty cool if you ask me.

Both of my boas hiss, usually at me I think if that's the only think that appears abnormal, I wouldn't worry.

Re: breathing question
Larger the snake the more air they take in and out. I can hear my burm breathing while hes in his enclosure just chilling. Nothing to worry about.

Mine definitely hisses when it's time to go to the viv. She enjoys her babying time

Mine are polar opposite. My male is just moody, but he'll let me know if he wants to be left alone. My girl is like satan. I don't even handle her anymore. She used to be really sweet. Hopefully she's just going through a phase.

Wow! I hope my girl doesn't get too moody...well, I wouldn't mind. I like feisty animals
But yeah, Constance is definitely a people person. I'm pretty sure she fell in love with my neighbor when I went to go visit her. She was climbing all on her and reaching towards her. It was darling.
