    Good luck!

We had an odd ball clutch last season of only 4 (one dud) eggs. I borrowed a reptibator from a friend instead of cranking up a real incubator... stupid me. The temps weren't anything like stable. The 3 hatched and seem to be ok. It was a clutch from a Fire and Cinnamon. Got a norma,l a firemon and, a wtf. The firemon is kinked near the cloaca and the wtf is ducky with a serious mess of patterning and colors.

This is gone to show me at least how much of an effect temp variation in incubation can have. Particularly (I think excessive heat was a problem) when the eggs dont have time to cool from a heat spike. Like when your incubator has the capacity to keep itself at 88 but not cool itself from 91 so you end up with hot days and not cool enough nights. Since this (color and pattern) information it communicated from the spine, which is also what that animal uses to distribute heat, I think that the messages get influenced by working overtime to deal with the heat.

Any way, I have some new pets too.
