Its usually recommended to let your snake get settled in for 10-14 days with no handling. Not letting it settle in could throw it off feeding, but a shed could too.
I would push the half logs against the cage walls to make them seems as if they only have one opening. This will make a snake feel more secure.
The lights you have would worry me. I would put a mesh protector around them to protect the snake from touching the bulbs.
