Question Juvenile BP feeding and schedule.

I've had my Lesser sense August 31st. He is abut 2 1/2 months old and weighs 160 grams now, he was 104 grams when I weighed him the day he got home. I've been feeding him a f/t adult/hopper mouse every 4/5 days. He hasn't refused a single feeding and is doing very well. I'm just wondering if I should be feeding him more? I was thinking about feeding him 2 mice every 7 days instead of what I'm doing now but I don't want to mess up his good feeding streak if what I'm doing now is okay. Just looking for some advice/feedback! Thanks for looking!

Feeding every 7 days would be fine. Its recommended to feed 10-15% of the snakes weight each feeding. If your feeders are within that range you are fine but if they are a tad small feeding two is certainly fine as well until you run out and buy the next size up.

If you are able to get rat fuzzies/crawlers, you could switch him to that. Rats are a more nutrient packed so he should put on weight a little faster. Plus you wanna make the switch while he was young as sometimes it gets tougher switching them later

Re: Juvenile BP feeding and schedule.

My personal rule of thumb is to feed every 4 days until they hit 300 grams at which time I put them on the 7 day rotation with the rest of the collection. Everyone has their own way of doing things and there is also nothing wrong with switching to the 7 day rotation earlier either.

I would take advantage of his appetite and switch him over to appropriate sized rats ASAP.
