    New arrival and collection updates (image heavy!)

    My mighty collection of four! Mwahaha! I'm getting there, anyway.

    My lesser bee came in today, and I am in love. He's my golden boy, after all. I had bought him thinking he was going to be my first boy, but after popping him and realizing the way I've been doing it isn't exactly perfect, I now know he is my second male. Chelsea is now Chase, and my technique needs more work (I have small hands! Does this affect anything? I have no idea!). This was also my first snake with spider in it, and the wobble caught me off guard. He corkscrewed in my hands after taking him out of the bag he shipped in, but other than that it seems pretty mild.

    Here's my new lovely, Giovanni AKA Gio;

    Also some updates on my current collection (besides my gender blunder), Georgette (AKA Georgie) is doing well, she's settled into her new home and my husband will be attempting to give her an F/T mouse weanling tomorrow. The person I bought her from had her on mouse hoppers, but the supplier at the only reptile show I was able to attend for the next 3 months didn't have hoppers.

    Kirby! I'm thinking I'll also need to double check to make sure Kirby is indeed female, but I was able to successfully pop a friends same-sized BP and see that it was male, so I'm pretty sure Kirby is a lady. A shy one who hides under a log all day and wakes me up at night with the sound of her *ahem* voiding, but a lady all the same. Kirby is also the only one in my collection that stays in the bedroom with my husband and I. First snake honors and all that.

    Lastly we have Chase, formerly called Chelsea. I had planned on waiting to start breeding until this one was up to the proper size (versus purchasing an adult female), but that's kind of changed now seeing as I now have two breeding sized males and two juvenile girls. Also with Chase being male, I'm unsure of what to do about breeding him. I was totally fine with the thought of a normal female, but I had been avoiding looking into normal males for breeding purposes. Now it turns out I have one anyway, so I'll have to decide what to do about Chase's possibly breeding future. Don't get me wrong, I like his personality (He's a fiery one who isn't afraid to let you know when he doesn't like what you're doing) and I wouldn't ever dream of getting rid of him, it's just the breeding part I'm in the air about.

    He didn't want to be in the bowl for his weighing. Stubborn one, this guy.

    That's all I have for now. I'm on a two week business trip currently and my husband is on snake duty, so I won't be making any purchases for a while. I do have a birthday coming up on my return, so maybe a new snake is in my future there, but who knows?

    Awesome collection so far it's really coming along. I have a whooping 4 snake collection too and I had the same issue you did when it came to the sex of my first snake (Levi- normal) I though he was a girl for like 6 years and called him Eva all that time then found the biggest genital shed in his cage which perfectly outlined some nice long hemipenes so my breeding plans were shaken up but are on track now. Can't wait to see what you add next
