advice on purchasing male to breed

I had BP's as a kid / young adult. I have recently gotten back into it with my kids. I've purchased three females based on looks: Pastel, Mystic Potion, BEL (Mojave-Russo, het ghost). We're considering breeding them and I'm trying to figure out a male which would make a good mate for all three. I'm thinking of a Super Mystic or Invisiball. I'm even considering a Banana-Mystic, but I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to distinguish the different genetic makeups of the babies (Banana-Mojave, Banana-Mystic, Banana-Super Mystic, Banana-Mystic Potion, etc.). Does anyone have any suggestions as to what would make a good breeder male to the females I already have?

    Thanks!

Re: advice on purchasing male to breed

This may sound like a crazy reply, but I would say ask yourself what types of colors and patterns you like most. That's what I do when deciding what to breed and what to hold back for future projects. For example, I just had a clutch with 2 lessers, 2 BEL's, a spider, a mojave, a lesser spider, and a normal. I also have kids like yourself and my 12 year old likes the lesser spider, while my 9 year old likes the regular spider, my 7 year olds favorite is the normal (go figure..lol) and mine are the BEL's, My wife hates the way the BEL's look("they look sickly to me")...lol and she fancy the lessers. You may already know this (but on the off chance you don't), the site World of Ball Pythons has a genetic wizard that will allow you to plug in any conceivable match and see a pic of what the babies look like(most all matches have pics) and ratio's of hitting that type. http://www.worldofballpythons.com/wizard/

Hope this helps and good luck!!!!

P.S. pic are mandatory when you do get that awesome clutch no matter what you decide to go with!!!! LOL!!!

The best male for your female would be a Mystic combo male.

Thanks for the advice. I was thinking a Mystic combo, as well. I suppose it is just a matter of what the second gene would be so I can tell the babies apart.

If I was you I would get a GHI or GHI combo male... an Enchi GHI would make sweet babies with every thing you have!
