I would suggest covering as much of the screen top with tinfoil as you can, leaving space for the heat light, to keep the humidity up in the cage. Put the water dish in the middle, and one hide on the warm side, and one hide on the cool side, that way the snake has a choice of temperature while still being able to stay out of sight.
As of right now I have the one heat lamp on the left and that is all. From what I've read ambient light from my room would suffice for light but leaving the heat lamp on all night would be too bright and stress my snake out. I mentioned the uv bulb because it emits less light but still is a good source of heat. Please bare with me Im just looking to make the best home for my new pal
Would a 60 watt CHE suffice for my enclosure? It's a 20 gallon. Also I would have to get a thermostat correct? If so any brands you would suggest?
Thanks for the help

Ive found that 60 watt CHES usually give me a good basking spot, but your mileage may vary. For a good budget friendly option I recommend the hydrofarm brand thermostat. You can find it on amazon for avout 25 bucks shipped
