    Green Tree Python

Im thinking about getting a GTP sometime in the future. Ive heard that they can sometimes be aggressive and people have said that they can be very tame. Ive also been looking for a good cheapish enclosure for one but i can hardly find any. I did find this. http://diycagekits.com/ Would that be good for a GTP? Which size tub would be big enough for an adult GTP?

Yes they can be aggressive. I have a male Aru who is very easy to handle during the day but at night there is a switch flipped and anything that enters the cage gets tagged. He can also be fussy when in shed.

I previously had a very young Biak who was a terror. She lived to bite me. Most will say that the Biaks are the most temperamental and the Aru is the least.

The only real way you will have a good idea of what you are getting is by getting a sub adult or even better an adult.

I bought a PVC cage from http://pvccages.com/ and love it but its not exactly cheap. It is very well made and very sturdy. I plan on adding another gtp and a amazon tree boa or two to my collection and I will use these cages when the time comes.

I'm not sure what tub size you will need but can tell you that a young gtp is usually kept in a 12"*12* cube style enclosure. Adult females do well in cages around 36"*18-24"*20-24" while males can do that or a tad smaller in a two foot cube. If I was confusing there go to the website I linked and look at what he offers as it will lay it out better.

Yea the setup looked like it would work. As for the size of the tub you would need I'm not sure. The tubs list the dimensions on them so just make sure its appropriate for what size snake you buy.

Others will have to help you with that or you can search. I just don't keep track of it well enough to throw out names.
