That is a good point. I'd want to at least see it in person, then decide the best course of action for myself. I'd go with B, but probably wind up doing C if I felt it was over my head.
There is a guy near me who strictly owns venomous snakes. When he handles one in his garage and his mentoring someone with a snake, he keeps a shotgun near the door in case that one decides to go to the wild. As much as he loves his collection, he knows he has a bigger responsibility to the snake/reptile community.
