Well today I got to go to my local petstore. They had three baby bps for like $50. THEY WERE SO CUTE! I got ot hold one of them, he was fat, healthy and alert. Man, if my setup was finsished I would have bnought him. But I didn't have it ready and I was short on cash. But I got to speak with the managers son, he has two bps and a Columbian Boa. It was nice to talk to someone who enjoyed snaked as much as I do.

    Trip to the pet store

buying a BP in a pet store for that price is about what you would pay total if you had it shipped to you. HOWEVER, note that if you do have it shipped from a reputable breeder, you will have the peace of mind that you are getting a healthy CBB snake w/o any parasites or problems.

AlexHueReptiles.com has some good looking BPs, and he has a picture of each so you can pick out the one you want. They are around ~$60 after shipping.

Yeah, but I'm pretty sure there was nothing wrong with them but still. I guess you can never beto sure. But online shipping is so much for reptiles. And even if they are about the same price, I'd rather rest assured knowing that he didn't die in the shipping process.

Acually, I think I'll drive down to grand rapids to whereever Alex Hue is based. That way I wouldn't have to pay for shipping.

    Great choice!
I'd probably look into the captive born/bred ones he has. Although he does have some captive hatched for a good price. But you're fortunate that you won't have to pay shipping (which was $35 from Mich. to NY for me, yikes!)

That'd be awesome if you live close enough to Alex to just drive to his place! Just be sure to check with him first and find out what his policy is. Some breeders don't let ANYone come to their homes. They're worried about either security, or commercial zoning issues in their neighborhoods. But that doesn't mean he wouldn't be willing to meet you someplace nearby.

Yeah, I e-mailed him. I'm thinking about ordering over the web and just picking it up wherever he is based.
