I'd say it's a decent price. Not a steal, but not bad either. Definitely worth considering.

    I think it's a great deal, I'd be asking a lot more.

Honestly, I cannot believe this is even a conversation?

$500 for a proven Enchi female is more than fair. I cannot see the pics, but if you like her look that is a great deal.

She has eaten a few hundred dollars in rats to get that size, not to mention time and other resources. She is likely at least 2 years old, meaning she was bough for at least $400 as a hatchling. Also, Enchi females are worth their weight in gold. there is a reason you do not see a ton on the market!

Anyone selling an Enchi gal of that size for less is selling themselves short, and screwing fellow breeders to boot!

A couple years ago this girl would of been going for at least 1500. I bought my girl last year for almost 400 dollars as a hatchling. Id say the price is more than fair. Goodluck

Re: Do you guys think I'm getting ripped off?

$500 is a steal for most any adult female. I know our margins and what it costs us to grow a Ball Python up to a year, and then the cost from the year mark to the 2nd year mark. By year 3 we have around $358 into an animal, excluding rack, labor, etc. costs. That being our prices which we buy bulk bedding, bulk rats, etc. Realistically, if you're selling adult females cheap, you're basically losing money, if it's a cool female, you're selling yourself short.

In turn, if it's healthy and flawless, it's an amazing price.

I'm going to add on to this that the figure Ben gave is assuming the person selling the adult is the same person who produced it. If they purchased the animal as a hatchling, then they're likely even more upside-down selling it as a proven adult at this price (unless it's paid for itself through its clutches, of course).

More than fair price. Finding females that size that have bred successfully is hard.

I would ask what it's feeding on, just to make sure there's not a issue with feeding it regular rodents you have easy access too, because $500 seems almost cheap.

Re: Do you guys think I'm getting ripped off?

Great price for a proven adult Enchi female. I would have some questions. What she eats, is she eating? Did she produce this past season? How big was the clutch? How old is she?........ I am always skeptical of someone selling a proven female this close to the start of the season. I could tell you I would almost give away two females that go off feed right before breeding season every year and can't make weight. But thats not the way to do business. on the other hand I wouldn't even sell an adult normal at this point, I already spent the money getting them back to weight. Good Luck if everything is good sounds like a steal
