    Hatchling tub size

Hi. Would a 30 quart tub be too large large for a hatchling bp? It probably is. If so, could I just block off half of the tub to make it smaller? Don't worry, I'll make sure she'll be able to thermoregulate!

Just split the top in half, length wise, so the walls are tighter with room to explore, I split my ARS tub in half till hatchling rack comes, and works well.

SPlitting tubs can be tricky because you want to avoid using tape. If it is a cheap sterilite or rubbermaid tub, I would cut a piece of plastic that splits it down the middle length-wise and epoxy that in place (with smooth edges for ease of cleaning). Then once she is older, just replace the tub.

If you use hides and other cover it can work fine, depending on the temperament of the animal. Ive raised hatchlings in cb70s more than once without issue
