Thinking about purchasing a Banana. Experience/tips please.
Hey all,
I'm thinking about purchasing a banana and I would like to get some advise on what I need to look for in this morph.
What are some characteristics of good quality in this morph? What are some bad characteristics that I need to watch out for?
Pictures would be a great help!
Thanks

Here are a couple pictures that I have seen for sale on Kingsnake.

As you can see the second one has much lighter coloring esp. on the head. How will this effect the color as adults? Which one would you say is better quality? I have also seen Banana's much darker than the first picture. Is this all just personal preference?

My guess is the banana in the second pic has something else in it muting the color. I like plain bananas much better than most banana combos. There are a few that enhance the color but most just muddy it up. Yes it will affect the adult coloration.

The second pic looks like a new hatchling too, while the first seems a little bit older, maybe after a feeding or two?
This will affect the amount of color. If a hatchling was hatched slightly early, it will also sometimes affect the color.
I like to try to see what the parent looked like(preferably at hatching AND as an adult).

I know with anything pastel in it they very rarely stay as bright as they are when they are young as when they get older. Not sure about the banana's. However I do know Wal Mart has them on sale for about 55¢ per pound

The one in a second picture is a pastel banana. I have a coral glow i will attach a pic of him. Im really into clean patterns so i tried to pick out out the cleanest one. I guess the answer to your question is pick what you like and you wont be disappointed one thing i will say about the coral glows/ bananas i wish i would have picked one that had more white coming up from the belly i really like those ones. Ok enough of me ranting here is a pic of my boy when i first got him ill see if i can take an updated pic.
