    my first ball python

How long can a baby ball python be kept in a 16 quart sterilite tub? Can I start out a baby in a 28 quart tub or will it get stressed? How much can I expect a male to grow in one year if fed once a week? Thanks!

You do want two hides one on each side to prevent them from having to choose security over thermoregulating.

Definitely two identical hides, and a 16 quart should be fine for a hatchling. I'd think 28 could be good to with some crumpled up newspaper and covered up sides. I think i switched mine out of their 12 quarts in the 650-800 gram range

How many months old would a 650-800 gram male be?

That'll depend on how much you feed him, I'm not sure what the average growing rate for them is

It's darn near impossible to tell a BP's age by their size when they're in that range. Anywhere from 6 months and up is the best I can do - it could be years old.
