Finally did it!
Finally, after days of adjusting, I set up a self sufficient ball python glass enclosure with a metal mesh top. Ambient temp is ~80 with humidity 60-70% consistently. 88-93 hot spot and 80 cool. So excited that I got it done in a 72° room. It was really hard with the open top to maintain the humidity, but still get the higher temp
She looks happy eating...and scary haha

I may be wrong, but I think 60-70% would be too high unless they are getting ready to shed..maybe not, what do I know...LOL

Everything I've read says 60% is normal and 80% is for shedding, so I figured 60-70% has gotta be pretty normal. For the most part it maxes out at 67% and drops no lower than 60%. Maybe someone else here has insight on the matter. I'm using a fogger with a CHE to add heat and humidity in combination with a UTH for her hot side. She hides a lot which means she's happy I guess. Haha

60 is perfect, 70 wouldn't be too bad but I wouldn't want to go over that unless the snake is in shed.

For the most part it caps at 67%, using a fogger is thought, but it's on the same timer as my CHE and it keeps them both in check

Sounds good! A lot f people have a lot of trouble keeping humidity up high enough.

I had that problem and then I looked into a fogger, but everyone said it would make it too humid. I had to remove a lot of the foil and tape off the top to release some of the humidity, but finally got it perfect. I'm so excited.

Definitely. I did a couple years of research and put it all together in a flash when I decided to do it. Most people suggest the rack system and I have to agree unless you really need a viewing area. If you do I have one or two do's and don'ts for the glass terrarium haha

I only want one for a "pet" so I'm going with a tank. I have a pretty nice one with two folding glass lids, that should help with humidity.
