    Natural viv design.

Hey guys I've decided this weekend I'm gonna give my cb11 fire's viv a "naturalistic" revamp I've sourced some astro turf too make a couple of interchangeable substrate mats.

My plan is too go with a grassy savanna theme, some long grass and rushes in cool end, with his cool end hide imitating a termite mound.

My question tok you guys is wether you have any ideas/ seen any products for sale too help me achieve this look!!

    Also any grassy savanna backgrounds??

    Whats naturalistic about astro turf?

I just started mixing Forest Floor cypress mulch, Eco Earth, and ReptiBark together to give my naturalistic tanks a nice look. Mix to your preference. For a more dirt like look add more EcoEarth than I did. I mix it in a tub until its how I want it.

That looks really awesome KMG. Good job. Doesn't look like it would be hard to clean either.

    Re: Natural viv design.

Well I'm using AstroTurf purely because I have access too it in work and I have three pieces cut too size, so it's simple cost effective, and actually looks a lot more like grass these days than it used too!!!

I guess I would have to see it. I just don't think it fits the bill for a "natural viv." Not what I'm picturing anyways.

    Post up some pics.
