I don't think anyone is trying to bash you, there is just some concern over that.

You are very, very lucky she didn't decide to crawl under your seat, into the dash, or somewhere otherwise inaccessible. I, too, have heard some horror stories first hand about snakes getting loose in cars to never be found again (but smelled again, for sure, if you catch my drift.)

Just my two cents. Live and learn, I'm just glad you didn't have to learn the hard way.

I certainly didn't mean to bash you or anyone. We all started somewhere and learn as we go.

The comments are just seeming to get harsher as we go. I understand everyone's concern and i said a few times that i agree next time a snake bag is a good idea.

Internet stuff is like the easiest thing to be misinterpreted as far as jokes... bashing... offensiveness ect....I wouldnt say they are bashing you for taking your snake for a car ride but I think the different comments certainly make made me think about all the horrible things that could happen. Like someone else mentioned better to learn from the posts then learning things the hard way.

just read this... I know it is old, but my 2 cents... I have two ball pythons that are super chill and don't stress easy at all. Always eat, full sheds and chill to hold. I take them in my car to a friends house in my sterilite 15 qt tote. I take a nice sized towel and a heating pad (maxes out at 96 degrees) and we go on our way. Never causes undue stress and he just goes about his day. With that said... I am not saying the snake minds, or has any enjoyment on the ride, but I will say that the Snake trusts me, which could also mean has little to no fear of me and knows that I also provide security. Letting a snake "loose" in the car is ridiculous as there is too much that can go wrong. They should be secured wherever they go.

I have a snake bag for car rides. Although my female likes to wrap around my neck and will stay there. She likes to smell the air coming in from the window. Lol

I like to take my BP to the pet store, especially when i go to buy him food, just to see if we should try giving him bigger food. I use a cloth bag, but i do take him out and put him on my shoulders sometimes Although if he tries to move a lot, I will put him back in his snake bag tied tight (and i mean TIGHT) with an elastic.
