    Hello!

    Good afternoon from the Midwest!

I'm actually an old member - I think I first joined back in '04 when I was 20 years old - but due to life circumstances, I've been out of the loop for awhile! I recognize a few names still on the list of users, and it's good to see that the forum is still here and flourishing! For most of you, this is an introduction so...

My name is Lynn. I am now 30 years old. I currently reside in Greensburg, Indiana, though in the ten years I've been a part of this forum I've moved from Indianapolis to Cincinnati and all points between. I used to have a decent collection of BPs and boas and geckos, but now, not so much. Life has decided to have it's merry way with me.

I lost a very well-paying job about two and a half years ago and had to part with 90% of my collection, which I sold to another collector. Then my mother became very sick with cancer and has since passed leaving my father needing emotional support - thus the reason I have moved back to my hometown. Life was difficult and I got out of the reptile business completely.

It's not all bad though - I have gotten a new job with great people, and though it doesn't pay as well, I don't dread coming to work each day. I also found an awesome, supportive man to call my fiancé, and we are getting married next spring. I have traded in my reptiles for two dogs, one a mixed GSD/Rott/Husky rescue and one a full GSD we have raised from a pup. They are my children and I love them (I also still have my now old, grumpy, fat cat, Katie ).

Things have settled down - we are paying bills and in a better living situation, and now the urge is once again upon me! I would really like to get back into BPs, but my fiancé has never been much for my snakes. He enjoyed one normal adult BP I had, but never really liked any of the others. He is, however, absolutely fascinated with Tegus! Since I have been wanting an Argentine B&W forever - and now actually have the space for one! - we are looking at getting one to add to the family. We are going to the Indiana Reptile Expo this weekend - hopefully they have some!

In any case, I will be lurking around a bit again... glad to be back
