The only issue there is it makes it very difficult to clean them... you can't soak or whatnot while the plants are stuck inside the vive. Not that you couldn't still clean them, I just know I wouldn't want the trouble
Personally I keep plants as floor cover, or set up branches and wrap the plants around them, which keeps them held up that way.
