That is a sweet paradox. Congrats

Does the paradox effect the genetics? When bred will it act as a purple passion or the single gene that is being expressed?

It will still act like a super form. If bred to a normal all the babies will be phantoms and mojaves

    Interesting Read....

I don't disagree with you as I have never attempted to breed a paradox animal to a normal to find out what the true results would be. I can see it both ways so it is a little confusing.

I have a question as a noob. If you breed a Mojave to a Phantom will you get BEL's (Super Mojave) as well as Purple Passions or just Purple Passions as the super (in addition to normals, Phantoms, and Mojaves)?

You wouldn't get any BELs from that pairing. You would get 25% chances for normal, mojave, phantom, and passions.

Thanks for the reply. I purchased a male Phantom last year from a well known breeder and bred it with my female Mojave. The eggs hatched three weeks ago and two of the hatchlings look like BEL's.
Do you think they will darken up or did I purchase a dark Mojave instead of a true Phantom?

Do they have grey heads? Sounds like you purchased a mojave. Post some pics of the hatchlings.
