    Is this a good trade??

Thanks an advance for any help

I had a bumblebee female for sale 700grams and she's lemon pastel nerd line

Someone offered me a female caramel albino 180 grams as a trade, I like the snake but I don't know if it's an even trade, what would you do?

Personally I wouldn't do it, especially if you're looking into breeding. Caramel albinos tend to not give a lot of fertile eggs and caramels are prone to kinking.

if you are interested in something like caramels, invest in ultramels but that's my opinion. I don't have experience with either, but the from what I've read caramels can be a lot more work with kinks

I actually have both those types of BP's (a Bumblebee and Caramel). I bought them as hatchlings and both were priced the same at a local reptile show and from the same breeder.

I have no idea what your plans are but if looking from the pet perspective, go with which one you like best. If breeding, the bumblebee is more flexible and will have immediate results. I don't think you need to worry about Caramel kinking if you buy one as a pet and it doesn't show kinking now.

Knowing the pricing at NERD, I'd venture to say that specific bumblebee would generally retail at a higher price than an average Caramel. You can always pick up a Caramel in the $150-$200 range if you look around.

I wouldn't do it and most of the reasons have already been mentioned.

Thanks everyone, I think at first I felt an impulse but I have other projects I want to stick with first and I don't want to get into something recessive right now.

For breeding purposes I would pass, people are getting away from Caramels for a reason , now if it's for a pet why not.

In the end, Do you think its a good deal?!?!

We all value animals differently. I personally Love pieds, and all combo's and would take a "Value loss" in a Trade for that morph if its a good example.

We all like different snakes, and different looks to each. Some High white pieds some low white.... Some busy clowns, some reduced!

In the end its what YOU want!! And what you feel comfortable doing!

    Can someone explain what the
    kink issue is with caramels?
As a novice this intrigues me
    and should be mentioned for
any future lurkers in the thread..
