They are rare though so I would assume that it was a carpet that the OP got bit by. If your worried about a bite, most will say the fear is worse. I have never been bitten but all the breeders I talk to ask me if I have. It comes with owning them, just like if you own a parrot it comes with being pooped on. I wouldn't worry about it with a BP though.
