What weight is that? Most people won't pair unless the female is 1,500+ grams.

Personally I would wait until November/December, that's another what 4-5 months of her eating and putting on even more weight.

Again personally, I would rather have a fat healthy breeding female than a female that just hit breeding weight breed.

I appreciate your input. Yes she just hit 1500 grams. She has great tone and looks very healthy. Also, the way she is pounding her food I have little doubt she is going to add a couple hundred grams before anything even happens. I have a couple other girls that will definitiely be ready to go this coming season as they are both hovering around 1200 - 1300 grams but have finally started eating again. I just thought by trying to start earlier, it may spread out the clutches so that there is more of a flow then a flood of hatchlings all at once. Of course that is only if this girl cooperates and goes for me without waitng around for the more typical season.
