    Super Glue For Humid Hides

I've searched on this forum and other forums on using super glue in snake vivs and have found mixed answers. Some people say super glue cures instantly and is used directly on reptiles by vets for treating small cuts. Others say it could let off fumes when placed in a viv (but I've read the melting point for super glue is around 200 degrees). Anyways what are your opinions on using super glue?

I don't know of anything that cures instantly and you can smell super glue after it dries, that is the out gassing. Also different materials such as plastic, will stop out gassing at a certain temp, but then out gas when the temp is raised. With that said chances are the out gassing from a small amount of glue isn't going to have any effect on your animal, but if you want to be paranoid, put it any an environment warmer than the one it will be used in, wait for it to stop out gassing, no worries.

I wouldn't, but I'm paranoid about chemical stuff.

Thank you both for the info! I was planning on making a sealed a log hide but I'm a little too paranoid about it so I just used a Tupperware container filled with moss and put moss on top so it would look more natural.
