I can't help it, I just want to make sure I am doing things right.
Ok this question is for those who have had there bp's from young and that are now adult.
It seems to me that my bp is small and thin for his age
He is about 33" and as of the first of May was 307 grams up from 243 which was at the end of March, not sure now.
I would guess he was born Oct.'03 so he is about 8 mos. He has had three sheds for me and all have been prefect. 1 in Jan, March, May/June
By his sheds he has gone from 24" to 27" to about 33"
He just doesn't seem thick like others I have seen thru pics. He has been wormed ( wasn't even sure if they were eggs from him or from the f/t I feed)
He feels strong and loves to get out and look around. He has been spending more time in his hot hide then he use to when he was younger like always goes in after eating and when in shed etc.
He is poo'ing fine and solid and pee is good and regular also.
Some times his lower tummy feels a little smushie but that may be normal. He eats like a champ
i was just wondering do they grow more in length and then catch up in girth?
I know all signs point towards me doing a good job with him, just makes me wonder how others bp's developed.
His skin and belly all good and good color.
Looking forward to hear others thoughts and experiences.
Thanks,
Jody

Sounds like its fine to me.
NOTE that sheds are not accurate measurements at ALL. That is one of the worst ways to measure your snake. I have had sheds that get smaller LOL.
As long as he's feeding, eating, and shedding. I would be ecstatic!
Thanks,

Interesting conversation w/ Petco empolyee
Jody, I wouldn't worry about him too much. It sounds like he's a healthy and active little guy. Most animals will grow taller first and then fill out (just like teenage boys) and then repeat that cycle until fully grown. I wouldn't worry unless he starts to lose weight. I would weigh him on a regular basis, and if he starts to lose weight, then get him to the vet with a fecal sample.

Just out of curiosity, what are you feeding him?

I feed him 1 adult f/t mouse every Sunday night.
I got a small rat I was gonna try this week but darn it looks big, a little thicker than the mouse and a few inches longer
Know where I can get a good scale that does grams?
( it's been a long time since I had to measure out things in grams hehe)
